The Toastmaster’s Guide to a wonderful Stress-Free Wedding
A time to relax and enjoy your special day.
Let me set the scene: You’ve been thinking about your wedding day for some time now. You’ve done a LOAD of research, mulled over all the options and concluded that you and your loved one are investing in a dream.
It’s probably one of the biggest days in your lives but you still ask yourselves, should you pay just that little bit extra for the services of a Professional Toastmaster?
Of course you should… I will explain why.
So, you ask, just what are the advantages and the benefits of leaving the running of your special day to a professional wedding toastmaster?
But first, though, … congratulations, wonderful news, bless you both on your engagement, now the fun starts!
The Advantage and the Difference?
The one main advantage and the difference that a wedding toastmaster makes, over these so-called MC/ hotel banqueting managers, ones that are promised to every wedding couple, is that it is ONLY the wedding toastmaster, who will completely FOCUS entirely on you, both as your Master of Ceremonies, from arrival at the venue to the end of your wedding day breakfast, personally catering and caring for your needs and what YOU want.
Unlike the supposed (promised) designated hotel person, weighed down with all their other duties, who is, incidentally, also tasked with looking after you, whereas every wedding toastmaster has just ONE specific important duty and responsibility to perform, and that is staying with and gently guiding you, to make sure your day runs happily and smoothly.
But what exactly makes a wedding toastmaster? And why do you think you need him or her to officiate on your big day? Here are the just some benefits of your day you need to think about:
Let me be frank, a toastmaster’s job is never the same. All couples are different.
The priority is to ensure that the ceremony room, wedding flowers, wedding cake and chefs are ready. Then to make sure that the right people are in the right place at the right time and introduce speakers – and every now and then he or she might have to do a bit of wedding crisis management!
Your toastmaster will work hard to coordinate every part of the day.
The wedding Photographers, entertainers, speakers, and other suppliers has been brought together. He or she supports them and makes sure that they work together, and each give their best.
As spoken about previously, the venue can help but their priority is to provide the best food and drink, so, as said before, they do not attend to the couple and their guests continuously as a toastmaster does.
True, a friend or best man may have a loud voice or good management skills but it’s unlikely that they can combine all the disciplines which are needed to coordinate and run the day perfectly.
Although the Bestman might be looking after one of the most important days of your life, probably for the first and only time, they still want to enjoy the day. The Toastmaster being in charge allows them to do that.
Some weddings need very little management, and others require a lot!
One of the toastmaster skills is knowing what is needed and making it all seem effortless while giving as much regular feedback to the couple as they want.
A Toastmaster understands all the relationships involved, like the sometimes-complex subject of separated parents and new partners and their interactions. They also enjoy looking after Jewish Weddings and Asian weddings, even Afro Caribbean Weddings.
A Toastmaster is a genial host, a compere and an organiser and sometimes will stand in the shoes of the family.
Therefore, what do couples need to consider before they book their wedding toastmaster? That he or she are truly professional and trained to the highest order.
Every Professional Toastmaster in the Executive Guild of Toastmasters has been trained and properly examined before being admitted into our Guild with all the necessary qualifications, liability and personal indemnity insurance.
